At Artis Building & Joinery Ltd, we bring together over 50 years of combined experience in construction, repair and restoration of heritage properties. Founded by Directors Adam Gerrish and Gerard Pocock, our Lymington based construction and joinery company was born from a shared passion for building as well as preserving the charm and integrity of traditional, old, and vernacular buildings.
Adam Gerrish – A master joiner and craftsman, Adam has honed his skills since leaving the RAF. Through his sister company, New Forest Box Sash (www.newforestboxsash.co.uk), he has spent many years hand-making and restoring sash and casement windows, doors, and bespoke joinery for clients across Lymington and the New Forest. Over the last decade his client base has grown considerably resulting in a natural progression into larger, high end bespoke projects for homeowners, private schools, hotels and retailers in the Lymington area.
Gerard Pocock – A practising Chartered Building Surveyor with 20+ years’ experience, Gerard specialises in building pathology and heritage properties. Over the last decade, he has advised clients across the New Forest and beyond having founded local Surveying practice New Forest Surveying (www.newforestsurveying.com). Gerard has advised on numerous large restoration projects across all sectors ensuring the highest standards are met. Having been involved both client and contractor side, Gerard has a wealth of technical and project experience to draw on.

Our sister company, New Forest Box Sash, was engaged as a specialist sub-contractor to restore nearly 100 sash windows to this Grade I listed private school.
The project was extremely challenging with all work completed at significant height over the school summer holiday period.
